Airport Ramp Service Agent (Line Service Technician)

Signature Aviation is seeking Airport Ramp Service Agents (A.K.A. Baggage Handlers or Line Service Technicians) for our influential guests traveling to and from the Teterboro area. Even if you have no experience, this could be the start of your career in the Aviation industry.

$19.00 to $22.00 per hour

As a Ramp Service Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our private jet services. The Details

Joining our team as a Ramp Service Agent means stepping into a world where your workplace extends beyond four walls. As you navigate the bustling tarmac, lifting luggage and handling the demands of private jet operations, you'll discover that your dedication shines brightest when the temperatures drop and the engines roar. You will interact directly with passengers and crewmembers, showing them the top-notch services we offer. Below are many of the responsibilities in your role as a Ramp Service Agent.

• Safely perform flight line operations.

• Ensure consistent punctuality for all scheduled shifts.

• Perform extensive physical tasks, such as standing, walking, lifting, fueling, and de-icing (sometimes from elevated heights), with a focus on safety and efficiency.

• Demonstrate excellent vision and coordination for aircraft movement, fuel inspection, and related activities.

• Effectively communicate in English through in-person interactions, telephone, radio communicators, and in writing.

• Operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment (e.g., fuel trucks, vans, tugs, cars) safely, including entering/exiting and operation.

• Read, understand, and adhere to company policies, safety procedures, ethical guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations.

• Collaborate as a team member, follow lawful directions, and seek clarification when needed.

• Handle stressful situations with poise, and interact professionally with high-profile clientele, maintaining confidentiality and cultural awareness.

• Proactively prepare for arriving/departing aircraft and promptly address safety concerns by communicating with all stakeholders.

• Deliver aircraft servicing, such as fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, delivering catering and towing.

• Ensure fuel quality control, fuel receipt, and inventory.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Minimum of 18 years of age

• If CDL is required, must be 21 years of age

• A valid state driver’s license.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and for safety-sensitive tasks, in English

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including night, holiday and weekend shifts and in various weather conditions.

Nice to have: Three (3) to six (6) months experience and/or training in aviation, customer service or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training.
