ADP Workers' Compensation Premium Auditor in Tempe, Arizona
ADP is hiring a Workers' Compensation Premium Auditor. The position impacts ADP's financials and client retention by helping to ensure that client workers’ compensation bill rates are properly set and that our clients are properly billed. The tasks associated with the Premium Auditor directly impact our workers’ compensation program financial health.
With a keen sense of and attention to detail, the Premium Auditor job functions include reviewing ADP TotalSource client operations and employee job duties to ensure our clients’ employees are assigned to the correct workers’ compensation class code per applicable National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) and state workers’ compensation bureau requirements; using accepted audit procedures and guidelines to maintain compliance with workers’ compensation class code rules; accurately reviewing and processing internal reports, workers’ compensation carrier reports, and other validation reports; providing requested payroll and classification information to carriers and brokers; and, documenting client records for audit activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and approve new workers' compensation class code setup and change requests.
Conduct workers’ compensation class codes reviews as requested by internal stakeholders, clients, and as self-identified to ensure that client employees are assigned to the correct workers’ compensation class code per applicable NCCI and/or state workers’ compensation bureau requirements.
Maintain documentation to support decisions to approve new workers’ compensation class code set ups and change requests.
Perform all necessary ADP TotalSource system transactions and approvals to facilitate approved requests.
Work within accepted premium audit guidelines and procedures to assist with ongoing and final policy audit premium reconciliation.
Collaborate with carrier to help facilitate state test and interim audits, including communicating with clients to notify and encourage participation.
Partner to resolve any carrier, state, and/or client classification issues.
Provide direct assistance to successfully resolve state and bureau criticisms.
Prepare and provide accurate and detailed audit reports and request for information to workers’ compensation carrier and brokers.
Maintain working knowledge all workers’ compensation class code changes published by NCCI and/or state workers’ compensation boards.
Provide workers’ compensation class code and industry classification guidance to stakeholders, including carrier, brokers, internal partners, and clients.
Provide direct involvement in the sales process by acting as a subject matter expert and assisting client acceptance in the review and proper workers’ compensation class coding of new business.
Provide direct support and assistance to management when needed for special projects.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1-3 years of directly related workers’ compensation experience
Strong proficiency and computer skill set to access, retrieve, and analyze information using use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), web-based tools, and the internet.
Attention to detail and ability to identify and solve problems
Sound and timely decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Optimistic and can-do attitude, adaptability to a dynamic environment
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Insurance, Risk & Safety, Communication, or a related field.
