As a Traffic & Distribution Analyst II here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods, products, or services within our aerospace supply chain or distribution network. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials, inventory, and shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to customers or various company locations.

Your expertise will be crucial in assessing transportation methods, negotiating contracts with carriers, and implementing strategies to streamline logistics operations while minimizing costs. By efficiently managing these processes, you will maintain an efficient supply chain, meet delivery targets, and ensure customer satisfaction while optimizing resource utilization. You will report directly to our Logistics Supervisor / Director and you'll work at our Tempe, AZ location onsite. In this role, you will impact the company by efficiently managing goods and optimizing the supply chain, resulting in cost savings, increased efficiency, and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Your adept negotiation of favorable contracts with carriers and streamlined logistics processes will minimize transportation costs and reduce lead times, ultimately improving profit margins. Your strategic insights and data-driven decisions will ensure the company's distribution network operates smoothly and remains agile in response to changing market demands. In essence, your role is pivotal in driving the company's competitiveness, operational efficiency, and overall success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage the movement of goods and materials throughout the supply chain.

  • Assess transportation methods and select the most cost-effective and efficient options.

  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and logistics service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

  • Optimize shipping and distribution processes to minimize lead times and reduce transportation costs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

  • Implement data-driven strategies to streamline logistics operations and respond to changing market demands.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency of distribution processes.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and logistics partners to ensure reliable service.

  • Provide regular reports and recommendations to management on cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of proven experience in traffic and distribution analysis, logistics, or supply chain management.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices is a plus.
