The Referral and Donor Screening Supervisor assists the Referral and Donor Screening Manager in the applicable day-to-day operations of the Referral and Donor Screening Services Department. The Supervisor shall assist in the daily supervision, training and performance evaluation of all staff within the Referral and Donor Services Department. This position shall coordinate the departments continuing education and training program for all RDSS staff members. The Supervisor shall compile, analyze and report on the departments statistical data results. This position shall also coordinate and assist the RDSS staff as needed with performing their job duties. Responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that reflects DNAs comprehensive/full-service approach to donation by participating and cooperating with other department supervisors. Performs other duties as requested.

Responsibilities:

Supervises the day to day operations of the Referral and Donor Screening Services Department.\ Coordinates continuing education, training and skill development of all RDSS staff to comply with AATB, EBAA, FDA and other regulatory agencies.\ With the assistance of the Quality Control Lead, monitors the departments performance by conducting an analysis of all RDSS department activity.\ Performs the responsibilities of each department position and actively participates in the on-call rotation of all Coordinators, as needed.\ Works closely with the Organ Recovery department to ensure timely and appropriate communication of all HBV and Import referrals.\ Interacts with Donor Program Development staff by informing them of any hospital referral issues and ensures that the information being communicated is appropriate and accurate.\ Interacts with the Directors/Managers of other departments as needed.\ Maintains knowledge of donation process\ \ Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and or certification, licensure/registration, surgical technician, EMT-P, LPN, RT, previous OPO or industry related experience, or previous organ allocation/referral intake experience. MUST be available for on-call shifts, in addition to regular shifts.\ 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role\ Ability to perform Donor Support Coordinator role\ Working knowledge of biological sciences\ Working knowledge of medical terminology
