Government Accounting and Compliance - Senior Financial Analyst
This is not a remote position. It is hybrid 3 in 2 out. You must be within commutable distance from Tempe, Phoenix, Minneapolis, or Clearwater.

The Senior Financial Analyst provides Government Compliance and financial guidance to the Qualified sites located within Honeywell Aerospace. This position is an excellent opportunity for growth in a Government oriented business. This individual will become a subject matter expert through experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other government agency supplemental regulations. Position to be filled in Phoenix, Clearwater, or Minneapolis.
Position Responsibilities and Related Tasks:
Responsible for the analysis and preparation of Incurred Cost Proposals and unallowable reviews pertaining to final claimed cost
Responsible for the preparation of forward pricing rate proposals and the primary interface with DCAA audit of these proposals
Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly Rate Monitorship Report, including variance analysis, data analytics and trending
Primary interface with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency), regarding Business Systems, CAS, Incurred Cost, Forward Pricing and final voucher audits
Support of cost accounting change language related to segment disclosure statements and the analysis of cost impacts as required by the CAS
Support the analysis of rate trending models, final incurred cost rates and calculating associated cost impacts
Supports cross functionally Government Accounting and Compliance matters, reinforcing awareness through training, preparing white papers and testing internal controls
Ongoing interaction and partnership with Honeywell Government Compliance team members
Ongoing support of HOS implementation and sustainment
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
3+years experience
Due to ITAR restrictions, must be a U.S. Citizen
Additional Qualifications:
Strong SAP experience
Strong personal computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with FAR, CAS and U.S. Government Compliance is desired
Excellent communication skills, written and oral
CPA and/or Government Contract Accounting considered a plus
Strong financial and business analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Independent, self-starter, with a strong work ethic, high degree of motivation and the ability to contribute to a positive team attitude
Strong bias for action; results oriented with an ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and team across organizational or functional boundaries
Six Sigma certified or trained preferred
