Job Title: Fiber Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in cable installation, handle materials, utilize hand and power tools, and climb ladders. This role involves working with CAT5, CAT6, copper fiber, and structured cabling in various environments.
Responsibilities
Pull cable and assist Tech 2
Run and handle materials
Utilize hand and power tools
Climb ladders
Terminate fiber and test copper cables
Install cable tray, ladder rack, and j-hook
Assemble racks
Operate scissor lift and work at heights
Interpret blueprints and project documents
Follow universal communications color codes
Essential Skills
Experience with CAT5 and CAT6 cables
Knowledge of copper fiber and structured cabling
Ability to use hand and power tools
Proficiency in terminating fiber and testing copper cables
Experience in installing cable trays, ladder racks, and j-hooks
Ability to interpret blueprints and other project documents
Understanding of universal communications color codes
Experience with OSHA standards and lift operation
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ years of experience in telecom/cable installation preferred
Ability to lift 75lbs
Valid driver's license
Proficiency with listed tools
OSHA / Lift Certification (provided by the company)

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily based at the Phoenix 7 data center. It is currently a hot work environment with no air conditioning. The work schedule is from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Onsite orientation is conducted Monday through Friday at 6:00 am at the Aligned Data Center. The dress code requires steel toe boots and PPE, including safety vests, gloves, and safety glasses, which are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
