CobbFendleyis seeking a Land Survey Office Technician in our Tempe, Arizona office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years related experience.
  • Experience with Civil 3D, familiar with MicroStation and OpenRoads a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiar with Trimble Business Center.
  • Experience with boundary surveying.
  • Experience in the reduction of conventional and GPS survey field data of boundary and topographic surveys.
  • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification considered a plus.
  • Certified Survey Technician (CST) certification considered a plus.
  • ADOT experience considered a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare Topographic, Boundary, and Easement Surveys with limited input from RPLS.
  • Perform calculations for boundary analysis.
  • Coordinate with RPLS for final boundary decisions.
  • Prepare Metes and Bounds descriptions.
  • Perform deed research and prepare Working Sketches.
  • Provide Project Coordination with field crews and process field crew data.
  • Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned including assisting in field work as needed.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product.
  • Adhere to CobbFendleys safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Office factors could include:

Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.

Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations.

Repeated motions (e.g., typing, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying).

Communication with other employees and clients.

Fieldwork factors could include:

Physical mobility in and around construction sites, traffic work zones, and other field assignments.

Physical mobility including but not limited to hand-eye coordination, steadiness, upper/low body strength, control precision, stamina, multilimbed coordination, static strength, manual dexterity, oral comprehension and expression, and depth perception.

Alert and responsive while working in lane closure zones adjacent to high volume average daily traffic.

Ability to lift, carry, pull/drag, and balance equipment & supplies (up to 50 pounds) in remote, rural, or urban surroundings.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and walk long distances.

Walking long distances (3+ miles) and climbing on uneven surfaces.

Climbing in and out of a vehicle multiple times a day and driving for extended periods of time.

Must be able to ascend and descend ladders while maintaining three points of contact.
