Job Title: Cable Assembler
Job Description
The Cable Assembler is responsible for the building of custom cables and wire harnesses, including flat ribbon cables. The role involves using various hand and power tools (such as crimpers, pliers, cutters, etc.) and a stripper machine during the production process. You will follow written instructions, work orders, and technical diagrams to ensure precision and accuracy in the assembly process.
Responsibilities
Build custom cables and wire harnesses, including flat ribbon cables.
Use hand and power tools such as crimpers, pliers, cutters, and a stripper machine.
Follow written instructions, work orders, and technical diagrams.
Perform crimping, stripping, and soldering tasks.
Read and interpret assembly diagrams and written instructions.
Essential Skills
1 year of experience with electro-mechanical assembly
3-5 years of extensive cabling and wire harnessing experience
Knowledge of flat ribbon cables is a plus
Ability to read and interpret assembly diagrams and written instructions
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with various hand and power tools (crimpers, pliers, cutters, etc.)
Attention to detail and precision in assembly work
Ability to follow technical diagrams and work orders accurately

Work Environment
Dress code requires closed-toed shoes. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime available on weekdays and Saturdays. The company is a small custom cable and wiring manufacturer with about 30 employees, primarily producing products for government contracts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Temecula, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
