Job Description Summary
The worker will be responsible for the design of hydro generator mechanical components for the South and North American market. He will also be responsible to give technical support for supply chain and site activities related to hydro generators.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
As a Generator engineering technician, the worker will be responsible to:
-Deliver design work packages for hydro generator projects using technical guidelines;
-Collaborate with other engineering COEs (Center Of Excellence) worldwide;
-Participate to & Launch design review meetings with other COEs and consulting Engineers.
-With the support of draftsmen and technicians, deliver design calculations, technical specifications, drawings and BOM’s.
-Deliver purchase requests to supply chain.
-Apply rules and concepts for reliability, quality, safety and cost.
-Support the supply chain and site installation teams during the different phases of the projects.
Required Qualification:
Currently studying in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college
Strong technical skills in strength of materials
Good knowledge of non-destructive examinations methods, materials and welding
Languages : Portuguese and English
Pro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomy.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment;
Good analytical skills
Team player, positive, willingness to learn & adapt to business needs
Ability to travel
Knowledge of CAD tools
Experience in hydro industry
