Description:
Job Summary:
Manufacturer located around the Orangeburg, NY area is seeking a Quality Control Inspector with 2+ years of related manufacturing experience for the second shift, to assist in overseeing the shift’s production process to eliminate specific problems and ensure that items produced adhere to established quality standards; assist in the implementation of quality control programs and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform pre-operational, operational and post operational duties
Perform routine facility walkthroughs and communicate findings with Quality Manager
Conduct and participate in audits
Perform visual and sensory evaluation of finished goods at various times during production
Follow and improve quality control SOP's and pre-requisite programs
Report quality problems or findings to Quality Manager
Assist and/or train production employees on work, food, and quality procedures as required
Review labels and raw materials routinely
Supervise Line Checkers and QC assistant to ensure timely checks are being done
Check cleanliness of equipment and facility at the end of work shift
