The Work You Will Do :

DEP’s Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) is currently seeking a Systems Project Analyst to serve as the ArcGIS Online organizational account administrator for both DEP and the State Geographic Information Office. This team coordinates and promotes geospatial data sharing throughout state government through open data and Hub sites and serves as the primary point of contact for statewide geographic information systems projects, grants and resources. The incumbent of this position will represent OTIS and must be helpful, cooperative, polite, respectful, and courteous at all times in the interactions with customers.

    Your Specific Responsibilities :

    Specific duties and responsibilities include:

    ArcGIS Online Administrator

  • Manage the resources from the Esri / DEP enterprise agreement in support of the DEP and FGIO AGO Organizational Accounts and related portal accounts.

  • Keep track of the named user accounts and community HUB accounts to provide maximum access to users and value to the Department.

  • Monitor Esri updates and security releases and take appropriate action to maintain AGO content while educating the user community on upcoming changes, content deprecations, and new functionality.

  • Help staff problem-solve and create demonstrations of how AGO tools can be used.

  • Responsible for making sure all GIS user technical service requests related to the Department’s ArcGIS Online Organizational Account resources.

  • Develop basic python, Jupiter notebooks / ArcGIS Online Notebooks.

  • Use ArcGIS Online app builders (Instant Apps, Experience Builder, Story Maps).

  • Design and maintain projects with ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS Field Maps.

  • Designing maps with ArcGIS Pro.

    Aerial Imagery Publication

  • Create, host, and publish image services for terrestrial and coastal elevation models.

  • Perform system maintenance and troubleshooting when issues are encountered.

  • Document monitoring and troubleshooting techniques and procedures.

  • Assist in the migration to new hardware and software environments.

    Emergency Response Support

  • Provide emergency response support during emergency activation by the Governor’s Office or during other events designated by leadership.

    Performs other duties as required.

    Attendance is an essential function of the position.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Working technical knowledge of programming languages including HTML, CSS, and Python

  • Thorough understanding of platform configuration items such as ArcGIS Server Services, SDE, spatial reference systems, re-projections, ESRI JavaScript API, ESRI REST API for GIS Server

  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.

  • Ability to travel.

  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.

    Preferred Qualifications :

  • GISP (GIS Professional) certification preferred.
