The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Associate of New Business Implementation to join our Group Protection Operations Team, supporting our New Business Implementation Team, working remotely.

As part of Lincoln’s new Local Market strategy, Lincoln is working to change the way we implement our U100 business. This role will be working to onboard Group Products for new business customers and customers adding new lines of business.

As an Associate of New Business Implementation, you manage the implementation of assigned client groups segment through hand-off to service which includes locking down sold case materials, consulting with the client on selected administrative options, conducting system configuration, policy & certification generation, and member enrollment, and web portal demonstrations, while partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure “claims ready” customer set up, through the generation of first invoice and finalizing contract drafts.

What you'll be doing

  • Review sold case submission to ensure all required information is received to begin successful implementation and coordinate with external and internal partners in a timely fashion to secure any missing information.

  • Manage the case installation process for basic plans, while directing internal partners & managing appropriate expectations with clients/brokers, as needed.

  • External consultation of what to expect in the implementation process and you are responsible for collecting and validating plan administrative details

  • Selling, setting up commissions and financial recognition

  • Configuring the administrative platforms based on the sold case offering plan and administrative design.

  • Creating the Policies and Certificates

  • Processing member enrollments

  • Generating initial invoices and conducting full case review/validation prior service handoff

  • Web demos

  • Process case reworks, stragglers and missing information that date back to inception.

  • Educate customers, via appropriate channels, regarding implementation timelines and proactively provides status updates as needed.

  • Successfully navigate multiple systems to ensure accurate and timely system installation..

  • Maintain knowledge about respective market segment GP product offerings. Comfortable participating in discussions about the products and

  • services offered by Lincoln as needed.

  • Identify participation, guarantee issue, billing, contractual and eligibility requirements using general underwriting guidelines.

  • For New Lines of Coverage (NLOC), partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate needed information to amend contracts as requested by customers and/or external stakeholders including the quoting and submission of final amendments for processing.

  • Recommends process improvements that will enhance current process, reduce redundancy, help eliminate errors and enhance the customer experience.

  • Provide accurate reporting utilizing internal systems/tools. Run reports daily/weekly in support of organizational efforts.

  • Assume positive intent in all interactions and engage in all partnerships with an open mind.

  • Operate as a role model for theAct as an advocate for all partners, championing their success in creating a recommendable customer experience in every interaction.

  • Promote others through formal and informal recognition programs, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, growth, and change.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves (Required):

  • 4 Year/Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

  • 1-2+ Years of experience in Customer Service, product and/or service implementation and/or project management.

Nice-to-haves:

  • 2+ years of experience with Group Protection Products (Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Supplemental Health)

  • 2+ years of experience in customer onboarding, system configuration, contracts, and/or member maintenance

  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experiences

  • 2+ year of experience utilizing Microsoft suite programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc)

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills with the ability clearly and professionally articulate needs and expectations with external clients.

  • Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues).

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Level: P1

The pay range for this position is $42,800 - $77,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
