General Summary:
A bachelor/Mater degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field is often required.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of data center operations, including networking, server hardware, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
Proficiency in operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Knowledge of security best practices for data centers.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. (22kg) safely and reliably on a day-to-day basis.
Nice to have:
Data center-specific certifications like Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or Certified Data Center Technician (CDCT) can also be beneficial.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Team player attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
