Amazon NPI Material Manager, Ring in Taipei, Taiwan

Description

NPI material manager is responsible for overseeing material readiness, execution and delivery of all xVT builds to support NPI product. This function requires strong understanding of NPI product release process and practices of purchasing, the ability to work under rapid changes. This role will partner closely with Technical Program Manager, Global Commodity Manager, Device Quality Manager, Material Program Manager, OEM Business Manager, Operation Program Manager and Global Supply Manager, interface with suppliers on material delivery.

Key job responsibilities

The details of responsibilities are, 1) Material readiness for xVT builds, 2) MP material risk buy, 3) Excess and obsolescence management, 4) Supply visibility review and expedite, 5) Early key component supply investigation, 6) Buy ahead management, 7) CM supply chain process on-boarding, 8) Multiple source management. Material manager is aim to fulfill material plan according to product development schedules, solve supply challenges, implement buying strategies, horizontally align with cross functional teams and grow to success together.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Taipei, TPE, TWN

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of supply chain experience

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
