Abbott Sales Development Specialist - Abbott Diabetes Care in Taguig City, Philippines
MAIN / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that company strategies are correctly and uniformly implemented.
• Carry out and deliver set KPIs, sales calls, targeting high sales areas for maximum efficiency.
• Develop new business trade opportunities with existing and potential clients.
• Maintain close relationships with key accounts and ensure the company’s products are meeting the requirement where possible.
• Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned trade accounts and provide feedback and strategies to management so as to protect and to improve market share in the trade channel.
• Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements.
• Attend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
• Meet the requirements of class A by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the quality requirements of the business are met. Observe 100% compliance on OEC and other company defined guidelines.
• Comply with all relevant company Occupational health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices in the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues and or the environment.
MINIMUM BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 4-5 years of experience in product sales (customer interaction) at pharmaceutical industry.

- Selling Skills
• Apply ADC performance standards and able to handle MDs and customer’s concerns.
• Articulate product knowledge and campaign theme in a sales call
• Good command of Medical Terminology
• Customize calls based on HCPs profile.
- Product Knowledge
• Demonstrate and articulate knowledge on medical background relevant to the product.
• Product knowledge or product profile
• Current promotional program, Territory/ Market knowledge (including competition)
- Sales Planning and Organization
• Perform sales analysis, territory business planning, proper HPC targeting/ selection, KOL development and competition benchmarking.
• Manages resources allocated to be able to take prompt actions, enabling accomplishment of year’s set objectives or even achieve beyond what is required.
• Comply in administrative requirements by submitting substantial updated reports and feedback.
- Sales Execution and Analysis
• Effectively utilize properly the resources, manages changes in the work environment.
• Delivers required qualitative and quantitative calls and carries out given tasks with positive results.
• Evaluate logically current relevant and significant action items.
