Amergis School Speech Language Pathologist - 24/25 School Year in Tacoma, Washington
Speech Language Pathologist needed in Tacoma for the 24/25 school year! Work with a great team of educational professionals and make a big change in little lives!
Length: Entirety of the 24/25 school year
Pay: $50 per hour
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Setting: in person preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assesses students’ communication skills for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment
Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals
Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training to parents/students/staff
Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials
Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies
Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success
Seeks appropriate in-service and professional development
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Active Speech Language Pathologist Licensure in the state of WA
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
Current CPR if applicable
Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Communicate effectively with staff, administration, parents, and any other's involved in students' education
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
