How will you make an impact?

As a LIMS Analyst, the individual is responsible for leading a project at the technical level with or without the assistance of a Project Manager. The role will be primarily field based; therefore the minimum amount of travel would be around 50%.

A day in the Life:

Conducting business analysis

Excellent technical writing skills

Interpersonal skills between the client and the Thermo management and sales team

Task duration and resource estimations

Requirements definition.

Solution identification and proposal.

Functional and design specification.

Review, editing and assistance in the creation/modification of customer documents.

Build services and programming code specifically in VGL and .net desired

Instrument integration services.

Mentoring of junior resources.

Consulting and/or configuration of Thermo Scientific products in compliance with regulatory mentorship.

Participation in pre-sales activities.

Successful performance relative to defined performance metrics.

Successful relationships with Thermo customers and internal resources

Keys to Success:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in scientific or information technology field.

Requirements :

  • At least 5 years commercial or academic experience in a field involving scientific measurement or laboratory automation.

  • At least 2 years of programming design and implementation with .net development desired

  • At least 2 years with .ASP or other WEB technology for extending the functionality in the IIS application

  • Knowledge of SampleManager or other LIMS systems (Stability, Instrument manager, SQC, Web interface, etc.)

  • At least 2 years of requirements collecting and design specification writing

  • At least 2 years’ experience in the service delivery business.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in scientific or information technology field.

  • At least 50% travel requirements

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese

  • Ability to speak Spanish desirable
