Grundfos Project manager, IND Europe in Székesfehérvár, Hungary

What is the job about?

The Sr. Project Manager primary responsibility is to drive European Industry projects from customer request for quotation to final project completion, through submittal of the proposal to the customer, support negotiation phase with the appropriate sales representative, and once being awarded, manage the project until commissioning, ensuring a profitable business and customer satisfaction.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Managing, coordinating, following-up and administering the proposal effort on project proposals, acting as a proposal manager for those inquiries assigned to him/her

  • Manage European projects orders utilizing the agreed systems and project execution processes, in a timely fashion, acting as a project manager for those projects assigned to him/her.

  • Interpretation and clarification, with support from others, on technical, contractual, commercial terms and conditions and required deliverables to comply with the customer requirements whilst managing risk to Grundfos.

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects in the project: tasks to be done, resources, dates, costs, financials, etc., maximizing profitable sales through delivery of projects from order fulfilment to after sales to time, cost and quality in a professional manner to the satisfaction of customers.

  • Competent technical knowledge of industrial applications and products, Grundfos and 3er party products, their advantages and benefits, and be able to professionally represent these to the customer.

  • Main point of contact with customer for the project, and handle customer issues if and when these arise working closely with the others departments.

  • Go to site and manage sub-suppliers and sub-contractors with supply agreements and ensure alignment of service levels for projects to be delivered to time cost and quality. Liaise with local health and safety

  • Other ad-hoc tasks or project as and when required.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical) combined with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience from a large international company working in a similar role.

  • Experience from Grundfos working in a similar role would be a plus.

  • English and Hungarian proficiency

  • Proven experience of quoting and delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment on time, cost and quality.

  • Excellent business and technical experience, with a strong talent for enabling productive communication between groups

  • Knowledge of pumps, dosing and disinfection systems

  • Experience in contract negotiations

  • Knowledge of different competences needed in projects– technical expertise, finance, logistics, contracts, quality, Health&Safety, ISO norms, export regulations, etc

  • Positive and resilient personality

  • Great people skills and highly empathic

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills verbally as written

  • Great stakeholder management skills - across borders and on all levels

  • The ability to work in a demanding and ever changing environment where meeting time deadlines are a key task

  • Experience in working with CRM/SAP PS/BW, Office package , Gannt scheduling, Project management tools

  • Ability to travel (20-30% - depending on the project)

  • CAD knowledge
