Emerson Product Engineer in SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR, Hungary

The product engineer is responsible for leading a product portfolio. He crafts technical solutions for products upgrades decided by Business unit or after return of experience for the product portfolio.

He provides support and technical expertise to customers, sales department, marketing, order entry department, manufacturing, after-sales service and spare parts centers.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

Customer problems support

Investigates Service Reports analysis (SR). Analyses technical problems related to on site product or damaged parts. Occasionally goes on site to investigate problems and/or give a solution. Fills in expertise report. Proposes solutions considering the economic interest of customers and the one of Emerson Process Management. Ensures monitoring of corrective actions. Gives instructions to after-sales services. Lists spare parts to use.

INSPECTIONS

Ensures technical support in customer inspection if vital. Define corrective actions together with the customer and the “customer service” of the plant.

PRODUCTION SUPPORT

Takes part in daily MRB meetings (parts non conform). Decides on the rework, scrap or acceptance of parts affected by a Non Conformity (NC) and signs the statement. Ensures technical support to the European plants. Builds ECRN. Ensures implementation of ECRN. Is involved in new products launches on manufacturing site. Investigates solutions to reduce costs. Provides training on products to site employees, customers and sales department. Supports new employee trainings.

SALES SUPPORT

Proposes or approves technical solutions at quotation stage. Provides technical support during meetings between sales department and customer and for spare parts department as well.

ORDER ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT SUPPORT

Verifies and approves new parts codification and new manufacturing drawings. Creates CODT and mark-ups for CAD designers.

TRADE COMPLIANCE

Trade Compliance is an important factor for ensuring business is conducted accurately. This is further controlled with local procedures and practices that must be aligned with. If you have any doubt or concerns regarding Trade Compliance, please contact your immediate supervisor/manager for further guidance.

OTHER

Builds or verifies calculation notes for his product portfolio.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Mechanical Engineer degree or equivalent (could be earned by experience).

  • Additional knowledge in materials and/or automation.

  • Ability to work in team, coordinate different people

  • Driving for results and leadership in solving problems

  • Proficient in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
