Eaton Corporation Screw Machine Operator - 2nd Shift in Syracuse, New York
Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Screw Machine Operator - 2nd Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.07 per hour. The core hours are 2:30pm-10:30pm.

What you’ll do:
Perform various threading, grooving, chamfering, turning, tapping, reaming, serrating, boring, facing, drilling and similar machining operations on all departmental conventional machines.
Make adjustments, change, reset tooling to maintain specified dimensions as required.
Load bar stock to insure the continuous operation of equipment.
Check work with various measuring instruments and gages (verniers, micrometers, scale, etc.).
Maintain close tolerances and work to drawings and layouts.
Detect faulty operation or materials and report to supervision.
Maintain equipment, machines, work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; sweep and mop as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to use shop arithmetic. Ability to read ordinary drawings or job layouts.
Ability to use micrometers, protractors, depth, and fixed gauges. Knowledge of tools, machining methods, and cutting quality of various metals.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
