SUNY Upstate Medical University Public Health Educator in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the implementation, facilitation and evaluation of a structured poison presentation program targeting the general public throughout the Poison Center's catchment area. Will participate in the design of poison prevention education programs and in the development of program related materials. Position requires ability to network and develop partnerships in the community for the purpose of collaborating on educational programming and education. Poison Prevention Month activities will be a prime focus area.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or Health Education or related field and 1-2 years of teaching/training experience plus excellent public speaking, written/oral communication and interpersonal skills required.

Transportation is needed for traveling to educational presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's in Public Health or Public Administration preferred

Work Days:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00, with occasional eves and weekends
