Program Coordinator is primarily responsible to lead overdose prevention activities and practices for homeless and housing vulnerable clients of Catholic Charities. This role willl help develop appripriate real-time changes to policies and procedures that promote treatment and recovery including; conducting regular staff training in relation to overdose prevention and harm reduction, order and dispense Naloxone and Fentanyl test strips to clients, shelter guest outreach/assessment/evaluation/intervention, and investigate and document all overdoses/naloxone-related incidents.

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field with 3 years of experience working with vulnerable individuals or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Candidates with lived experience are preferred, and encouraged to apply.

Licenses/Certifications/Clearances: CASAC, Credentialed Prevention Professional, and/or Credentialed Prevention Specialist of LMSW-credentialed. Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License, registered and insured vehicle, N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. Manual dexterity and mobility sufficient to work within a challenging and active environment.
