The Corporate Sourcing and Procurement (CSP) team partners with business areas, as trusted advisors and business facilitators, to provide leading sourcing strategies and expertise, manage risk and maximize the total value returned from a diverse set of vendors.

Within CSP, Procurement Operations encompasses a series of important activities along the source-to-pay process including systems administration; sourcing project intake and triage; vendor management including risk reviews and support to business area vendor managers; purchase requisition processing; sourcing project management support; and systems administration. These functional activities require an understanding of the end-to-end Source-to-Pay process and ability to analyze data, resolve issues, process transactions, and deliver outcomes accurately and timely, engaging with business area stakeholders across the organization.

In this role, the Procurement Operations Associate works collaboratively with team members on assigned Sourcing, Operations, and Vendor Management activities determined by the continuous prioritization of business needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

The Procurement Operations Associate performs various activities across the CSP functional areas (sourcing, vendor risk, procurement operations and accounts payable) as needed. Assigned activities may include assisting with triage of inbound sourcing project requests, pulling vendor contracts from our repository to support ad hoc inquiries, helping business areas complete the vendor onboarding risk assessment process, coordinating information requests across departments, resolving issues and questions as they arise by investigating facts across various CSP systems, supporting the team’s training, onboarding, and process documentation, drafting inter- and intra-departmental communications, and other duties as assigned.

The Procurement Operations Associate works directly with business areas and with team members ensuring timely and accurate customer service, and monitors and resolves issues as they arise. This individual must become proficient using various technology platforms including OneTrust, SynOps (our sourcing workflow technology), Ariba Buying & Invoicing, Ariba Contracts, SAP AP and DocuSign.

The base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $54,0000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • General understanding of Sourcing & Procurement

  • Ability to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives within assigned time limits while maintaining work quality

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Analytical ability to obtain and assess data to resolve issues

  • Investigative curiosity and attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Vendor Management: Knowledge of vendor management methodologies, technologies and processes; ability to gain increased value and excellent services from vendors, as well as costs control and risk mitigation throughout the deal life cycle.
