We are currently looking for a Senior Regional Director to join our team in Central and/or Western NY.

REPORTS TO: Executive Director, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program

DIRECT REPORTS:Regional Directors and Program Site Staff

TERRITORY:Central and/or Western New York

SALARY:$55,000 - $65,000

SUMMARY:

As a Senior Regional Director, you are responsible for leading the School Age and Early Learning Healthy Kids Programs' daily business operations in a designated geographic area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and implementing systems to improve performance across all locations, as well as implementing new initiatives, and driving growth within the organization.

JOB CONSISTS OF:

Growth Component

  • School Age Growth: Develop a contact list for districts in your region, reach out to potential new schools, schedule virtual or in-person pitch meetings, complete the licensing process, and launch new programs.

  • Summer camp growth: Add 3-5 new summer camp programs per year in your region.

  • Early Learning Growth: Open and Launch new Early Learning Centers when applicable.

Operations Component

  • Program quality: Lead training & compliance, curriculum development and implementation, and institute best practices. Ensure Creative Curriculum is fully implemented for all ELCs, conduct two observations per year per site with feedback,

  • Staff development – conduct weekly individual meetings with Regional Directors and monthly group Regional Director meetings. Staff connectedness, especially new staff

  • Strategic issues: Create an effective substitute staffing plan, develop future directors/lead teachers (SACC credential/CDA program) Connect regularly with Marketing/Registration and HR

  • Strategic priorities: Ensure payroll exactly aligns with enrollment and develop/execute an enrollment strategy to recruit staff/participants as needed.

Manage all aspects of your Regional Director Team with a special focus on:

Recruiting, supervising, professionally developing, and training highly qualified staff to deliver a consistent, high-quality service in all sites having similar programs.

Managing an operation that follows New York State SACC/DCC, and/or DOH summer camp regulations.

Operating excellent programs that:

  • Follow Healthy Kids Best Practices and Curriculum that serve as the foundation for Healthy Kids “Consistent Excellence” Philosophy.

  • Feature superior classroom management skills and excellent parent communication.

  • Feature a warm, nurturing, positive, safe environment.

Prevent problems with proactive management and handle those that happen in an effective, positive manner that emphasizes good communication.

Lead in a positive, upbeat, yet confident style with an emphasis on effective communication and addressing issues head-on.

Hire, train, supervise, professionally develop, and support multi-site directors who focus on staffing issues.

Train, supervise, professionally develop, support, and help hire Site leaders and staff to deliver excellent programs.

Monitor and address performance issues in a timely manner so that personnel understand their areas of improvement and have the chance to bring their skills up to our standards of excellence.

Attend monthly leadership meetings and Executive staff meetings, via Google Meet, and in person when need be.

Clearly, effectively, and in a positive manner, communicate the organization’s policies, objectives, priorities, and budget limitations to site directors.

Coach all site leaders on professional development and career pathing opportunities.

Focus on efficiently managing the largest expense – payroll.

Work closely with the Registration staff to ensure that all students who should be in the program have completed paperwork.

Work with Marketing to obtain important program information and materials for websites, and social media.

Maintain good working relationships with site hosts, including school principals, school administration, school custodial staff, OCFS, and Childcare Councils.

Work towards growing your region and implementing new programs as they become available.

Liaise with other departments, senior management, and parents.

Adhere to and consistently enforce the company’s Code of Conduct, policies & procedures, and New York State guidelines.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with 10 years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Superior administrative and supervisory skills with experience in a consumer-driven

  • environment.

  • Excellent customer service and parent communication skills.

  • Track record of working as a team and helping to create a team-oriented work environment.

  • Commitment to delivering excellent programs and managing personnel expenses.

  • Pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checking.

  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties.

  • Professional, reliable, and prompt.

  • Warm, friendly, caring, and upbeat personality.

  • Excellent time management skills.
