Your role at Clorox:

Reports to the Finance Director – ANZ. Responsible for working closely with and provide Finance business partnership and commercial support to the Clorox AU commercial and operational teams and ANZ Finance Team. This position is responsible for managing the Management Accounting Team as well as the Planning, Analysis and Forecasting functions as well as the co-ordination and preparation of the monthly and quarterly management accounting packages for Australia and ANZ. The incumbent is also responsible for the co-ordination and preparation of the budget as well as all subsequent forecasts throughout the fiscal year.

In this role, you will:

Planning and co-ordination of the annual budget culminating in the local entity budget pack for key stakeholder and planning and co-ordination of subsequent forecasts (LRP and Quarterly forecasts). Completion of quarterly US management accounting packs and US forecast packs.

Reporting responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and submission of product category/brand reporting for both budget and actual in local and US currency.

  • Own all divisional and category cost allocations including Admin, Fixed Distribution, other overheads etc.

  • Maintain respective forecasting and reporting models.

  • Oversee Inventory Valuation - maintain accurate actual and standard costs

In conjunction with the ANZ Controller, oversee the preparation of the monthly P&L and balance sheet, and ensure a high level of accuracy and timeliness.

Operational responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with the ANZ Controller and AU Senior Financial Accountant to ensure accurate CIC accounting and management profit transfers with all Clorox entities

  • Partner with AU Sales & Marketing on NPD and customer proposals

  • Partner with Supply Chain on MTO and relevant projects

  • Partner with Sales Team Leaders to monitor, manage and report on all trade promotion spend (a.k.a. Reduced Revenue)

  • Analysis & Insights

Other responsibilities include:

  • Team development

  • Ad hoc projects

  • Provide support to ANZ finance team as required (some travel may be required).

  • Provide comprehensive backup to the NZ P&A Manager to cover for illness/holidays

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 4 - 6 years of professional work experience in FP&A, Finance & Accounting

  • People Management

  • ERP systems experience (Netsuite preferred)

  • Business Analytics and Forecasting Tools (Anaplan and Power BI preferred)

  • FMCG industry experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; thorough knowledge of financial reporting and experience in interpreting accounting and finance-related projects

  • Deep knowledge of financial analysis and strong analytical skills

  • Strong management reporting experience

  • Ability to influence, and drive change

  • Ability to interact with functional area management and executive levels in the organization

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration

  • Team development

  • Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships across functions

  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and self-manage workload

  • Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Power BI & Anaplan (development of reports and models)

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Prior industry experience in FP&A, Financial reporting, and Management reporting or similar technical areas

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Knowledge of the AU grocery trade would be an advantage (FMCG experience)

  • Eye for detail

Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

  • CA/CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
