We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our NSW Fire Division. This position will involve Minor Works Installation, Maintenance/Service and Construction Installation Projects.

Here’s a snapshot of your day

  • Performing preventive maintenance activities

  • Performing emergency / break down electrical maintenance as necessary to support site operations.

  • Installation and replacement of electrical circuits, components.

  • Accurately using measurement and test equipment.

  • Accurately completely maintenance records and other paperwork

  • Work collaboratively within the team and across the departments

  • Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimize interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns / failures.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A-Class Current Australian Electrical trade qualification.

  • Problem-solver and ability to diagnose issues in a disciplined and methodical manner.

  • Ability to understand control strategies and systems in order to make assessment and recommendations for enhancements and efficiencies.

  • Discipline and planning skills to implement recommendations and changes.

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Hold a current Australian Driving Licence

Desired, not essential

  • Experience as a Service/Field/Electrical technician with demonstrated experience in servicing and maintenance of technical equipment for commercial business.

  • Experience with Fire/Security/Controls

  • Willing to learn new skills
