Medtronic is offering an exciting parental leave cover position for a Clinical Specialist to be an integral member of our highly successful Ear Nose and Throat team, based in Sydney. This role offers responsibility across our entire ENT portfolio in Sydney with some travel to Central Coast and Hunter regions. Medtronic ENT has been providing solutions for over 20 years for Ear (Otological) Nose (Rhinology) and Throat (Laryngology/Head and Neck Cancer) Conditions. Treating patients with Chronic ENT conditions from Otological or Hearing disruption due to infection, congenital conditions, and trauma. Rhinology for Chronic Rhinosinusitis and upper nasal airway obstruction due to sinus disease pathology. Tracheal airway conditions that obstruct laryngeal structures including tracheal papilloma to Thyroidectomy and Head and Neck cancer conditions.

A Day in the Life

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this unique and exciting role based in Sydney, New South Wales, will see you receive dedicated on the job clinical and technical training to provide in theatre support and clinical education to healthcare professionals.

Primary responsibilities are:

  • To assist in achieving sales revenue and market share targets for specified region by assisting Territory Managers with customer service, clinical support and education.

  • Provide expert level in theatre support for all clinical end users and hospital staff on our products.

  • Ensure existing and prospective customers are technically competent through in-service education and regular product updates.

  • Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution.

  • Ensure the highest level of product and technical knowledge is attained and maintained.

  • Support Territory Managers’ account sales strategies through regular contact with key healthcare professionals.

  • Support Territory Managers with inventory control, including the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed

  • Facilitate and conduct external Medical Education Events

  • Assist Territory Managers in providing after-hours on-call support.

Must-Have:

  • 2+ years clinical support experience in nursing, clinical or medical device industry setting (preferably within ENT) with a strong track-record of meeting and exceeding performance goals.

  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite.

  • Nursing qualifications, general sciences degree or similar.

  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and work out of office hours as required
