The Sr. Manager, Global Health & Safety leads LinkedIn’s global H&S (Health & Safety) program. This role plans, implements, and verifies risk control and compliance programs to ensure the employment of safe work practices including, but not limited to: safety management, facility/technical safety, emergency preparedness and response, and occupational health. We are focused on building scalable programs that support LinkedIn’s culture by enabling our people to do their best work while feeling safe and cared for, wherever they are located.
Responsibilities
Manages LinkedIn’s global H&S program.
Leads a group of experienced H&S staff to oversee the day-to-day safety operations at over 40 offices globally.
Works with staff to deliver toward objectives and drive maturity.
Translates policies, procedures, and standards into practical and manageable action plans within the risk tolerance of the business.
Knowledge of safety laws, standards, principles, concepts, and ability to integrate them into proposed courses of action.
Partners with collaborators in HR, Workplace, Legal, and others to delineate responsibilities and implement action plans to address regulatory code compliance.
Partners with Global Security & Safety Regional Managers to implement safety programs including, but not limited to office safety inspections, employee volunteer Emergency Response Teams, emergency preparedness and response programs, safety statements, hazard communication, and safety committees.
Leads the global ergonomics program.
Partners with HR to define legally required safety-related programs for employees working at home.
Coordinates with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) as necessary for safety programs.
Maintains relationships, services, contacts, and budgets related to contracted health & safety service providers.
Reviews new construction projects and changes for H&S impacts and facilitates continued compliance with partners.
Builds and deploys training and awareness programs that address compliance safety needs.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years in the corporate safety function or a closely related field.
5+ years of leadership experience.
BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be highly adaptable and flexible.
Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
Ability to travel on a limited basis.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, working mornings and evenings as needed to support operations in various time zones.
Proven experience leading H&S or equivalent programs in technology or creative office environments.
CSPⓇ (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent.
A continuous history of safety professional development.
Understands OKRs, metrics collection, and analysis.
Willing and able to roll up your sleeves and get into the details of projects.
Experience working with regulatory agencies.

The pay range for this role is $130,000 - $213,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
