Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Marine Systems is seeking a MRP Production Planner and Scheduler 2/3 for the Marine Logistics Support (MLS) Program within the Launcher Operating Unit at Sunnyvale, CA. This position is full time onsite in Sunnyvale.
Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Providing material management and analysis support of complex programs.
Coordinating and supporting development of material requirements among multiple contracts.
Scheduling, confirming material supply and demands, reviewing awarded contracts, preparing M903s, loading demand based on a contractual obligation date and production schedule.
Interacting with Program Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, and other departments to provide accurate material requirements status.
Providing reporting of program material status and analysis of material variances to plan and other applicable metrics.
Using MRP analysis tools to perform material resource planning based on demand generated resource requirements current stock, production need dates, vendor lead and material processing time to ensure timely material or service availability to support production operations.
Plans, monitors, and coordinates all activity related to establishing appropriate schedules for materials which include both procured items as well as manufactured items necessary to fulfill contractual obligations.
Requires strong understanding of Bills of Materials, structures, and dependencies within a manufacturing environment.
Requires skills and ability to prepare and present data, charts, and status necessary to highlight potential constraints to meeting schedule including material, supplier, or work center concerns.
Maintains accurate records, keeps track of MRP demands and PR releases. Maintains KPI spreadsheets, as assigned.
This role can be filled as a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
High school diploma with 6 years of related experience is required OR an Associate’s degree with 4 years related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years related experience OR a Master’s degree.
Experience with MS Office Applications, Excel in particular
Proficiency SAP (ERP2 and S4)
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
High school diploma with 9 years of related experience is required OR an Associate’s degree with 7 years related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years related experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years related experience.
Experience with MS Office Applications, Excel in particular
Proficiency SAP (ERP2 and S4)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MRP experience, familiarity with supply chain processes, material planning, material management and control.
Salary Range: $67,100.00 - $100,700.00Salary Range 2: $82,900.00 - $124,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
