Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
Design, build, and test prototype electrical systems for future consumer experiences within Meta’s Family of Products.
Explore new concepts through fast iterative prototyping and work cross-functionally with teams that will dynamically change depending on the problem and potentially include mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and research experts.
Take a board definition and implement with electrical schematic and layout, and can transition these designs into a high-volume consumer product.
Possess experience in high volume consumer products.
These systems will have custom ASICs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs from simple to large, displays, audio, camera sensors, and high speed I/O.
Design mixed high-speed digital circuit boards, be experienced troubleshooting at the board and system level, and be familiar with the consumer product development process.
Design, simulate, prototype, and test electrical systems in experiments, which combine mechanics, optics, and software.
Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines.
Design schematics, complete board layouts, assemble, test, debug, and integrate designs into electro-mechanical systems.
Specify components.
Work independently and manage priorities.
Transform vendor reference designs into custom solutions.
Utilize experience working with digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC and PMIC to incubate new technologies into high volume production.
Apply extensive experience in Cadence OrCAD, Altium, oscilloscopes, high-speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, and function generators to design schematics and boards.

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering (any engineering degree), Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, followed by five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in an electrical engineering-related occupation.
Experience must include 60 months of experience in the following:
- Schematic and board layout design using Cadence OrCAD, or Altium
- Use of oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, power analyzer, impedance analyzer, and function generators
- Working with the following technologies: digital signal processing, display, camera modules, PMIC, or Battery Management System
- Analog and mixed high speed signal circuit design
- Electronic circuit simulations
- Microprocessor, Micro-controllers and FPGAs
- Digital Signal Processing
- High speed digital communication protocols
- Testing and troubleshooting of electrical system
- Root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
