Claims Assistant | Sun Prairie, WI
PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Sedgwick is now seeking a proactive, driven and experienced Claims Assistant to support our Liability Adjusters. This exciting career opportunity will provide you with the opportunity to utilize your high-level administration skills to progress your career at Sedgwick.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Sets up and enters new claims into claims management system.
Inputs and reviews notes/diaries in claims management system as instructed.
Processes payments.
Processes mail; handles filing, faxing and photocopying.
Manage customer and client enquiries and provide positive and effective solutions, including complex claim scenarios
Providing proactive administrative support to our loss adjusters
Professional written correspondence, including reports and emails
About you :
Strong time management skills including the ability to multitask
Ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment
Advanced skills in Microsoft office will be strongly considered
Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment (including account management) with the ability to undertake objection handling
Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a high performing team and culture
Ability to work proactively with the team to make sure all daily tasks are completed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
Six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
WORK ENVIRONMENT
