Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Integrated Master Scheduler to join our dynamic team in the shipbuilding industry. In this role, you will take the lead in maintaining and analyzing schedules for our vessel projects, ensuring that all program aspects—including Engineering, Material, Production, Sub-contracting, Testing, final acceptance, and delivery—are seamlessly integrated into an actionable timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive project baseline schedule, accurately scheduling labor and material activities to create a fully resource-loaded integrated schedule.
Manage the monthly Baseline Adjustment Request (BAR) process, ensuring all updates are precise and reflective of the project’s current status.
Monitor and report on schedule health metrics to guarantee compliance with all government requirements and project milestones.
Collaborate with the vessel Project Manager and craft management to provide timely schedule and manning information, facilitating efficient construction processes.
Conduct regular analysis of manning requirements, ensuring teams are adequately staffed to meet project demands.
Oversee the ongoing training and development of the production control department’s scheduling personnel, promoting best practices in project scheduling.
Actively participate in preparation for project government meetings, supporting the scheduling department with necessary documentation and insights.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required; BA/BS in a related field preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of progressive project scheduling experience, with a focus on leading the overall scheduling efforts.
Proven experience (four years) within shipbuilding, ship repair, or a related industry.
Proficient in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and familiar with EIA-ANSI 748A standards to uphold schedule adherence and effectiveness.
Understanding of the MILL 881 Handbook and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) frameworks.
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) to present data and reports effectively.
Process-oriented, customer service-focused, and an innovative problem solver who thrives in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented approach, capable of resolving daily issues independently.
