Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Job Description
As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the skilled trades team and all engineering operations within our mixing facility. You will be responsible for supervising a team of six individuals, including four trades, one laborer, and one MRO. In the future, you will also oversee the engineering team, which includes a process engineer and a controls engineer. Your role involves assigning work, directing day-to-day processes, maintaining mixing machines, and ensuring smooth workflow. You will implement best practices in mechanical engineering work, support production as needed, and maintain electrical controls. Additionally, you will interview and hire engineers, collaborate with sales, R&D engineering, and business units to evaluate, develop, and implement new technology, participate in lean enterprise activities, and oversee the setup of machines and equipment. You will work as part of a cross-functional team to review internal and external quality performance.
Responsibilities
Oversee skilled trades team and engineering operations in the mixing facility.
Supervise a team of 6 individuals.
Assign work and direct day-to-day processes.
Maintain mixing machines and ensure smooth workflow.
Implement best practices in mechanical engineering.
Provide production support as needed.
Maintain electrical controls.
Interview and hire engineers.
Collaborate with Sales, R&D Engineering, and Business Units.
Participate in Lean Enterprise activities.
Oversee the setup of machines and equipment.
Work as part of a cross-functional team to review quality performance.
Essential Skills
P.Eng designation in mechanical engineering or a Trades Ticket.
Strong automotive experience.
Experience as a Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.
Hands-on role with practical involvement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preventative maintenance, pneumatics, mixing, guarding, safety controls.
Experience with millwright, electrician, project management, and equipment installation.
Why Work Here?
We offer flexible working hours with the possibility of overtime during the week or weekends. Starting in mid-May, you will receive three weeks of vacation this year plus seven paid days at Christmas. From 2026 onwards, you will enjoy four weeks of vacation plus seven paid days at Christmas. Additionally, you may qualify for a 15% bonus if targets are met, providing added financial incentives.
Work Environment
The work environment is an automotive mixing facility. While the facility is currently dirtier, the Maintenance/Engineering Manager will have the opportunity to implement processes to ensure it is clean and well-maintained.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
