Job Description
The Quality VIE is responsible for projects to assist with the efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality team at Safran Aerospace Composites. The VIE will support projects linked to Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with the goal of improving the processes and tools used by the Quality team. This position will work closely with all levels of the company management as well as with Engineering and Production staff.

PROJECTS AND DELIVERABLES
• Analyze and propose improvements to the most time consuming activities in the Quality & NDT teams
• Develop and deploy data analysis methodologies to ensure faster problem-solving for the Quality team
• Automate and formalize tools used by Quality personnel
• Analyze and propose improvements to Production Permit and Calibration processes
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Production Permit & Calibration day-to-day management and propose ways to simplify and improve these processes
• Support management/coaching of QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to continue to increase maturity of our plant's QRQC mindset
• Identify project opportunities within the Quality team
• Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED/DEVELOPED IN POSITION
• Project management skills, including development of project scope, timeline, identification of needed resources, and interim and final goals.
• Team work and collaboration – this position is required to interact with employees at all levels within Safran Aerospace Composites
• Develop understanding of Quality processes and regulations and their implementation within a company
• Gain knowledge of USA legal framework and labor laws and how these interact with Safran trade compliance requirements.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education/Knowledge/Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with Python, C#, or similar object oriented programming language required
• Experience with MS SQL Server or equivalent required
• Familiarity with web application models and R programming language a plus
• Must have strong Excel skills including VBA macros and strong analytical and data modeling skills
