Description
The Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine invites qualified applications for a part time, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Endodontics.
The selected candidate will be engaged in didactic and clinical instruction for the dental education and advanced dental education programs in Periodontics. The selected candidate(s) will have a role in the Department’s clinical, academic, research and administrative activities at both the dental education and advanced dental education programs in Periodontics. The selected candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
The selected candidate is expected to strengthen and maintain effective operational practices within the teaching, research, and clinical areas of the programs in alignment with the Department's mission.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
A DDS/DMD (or foreign equivalent) degree from a CODA-Accredited dental program or equivalent international degree is required. Completion of a CODA-accredited advanced dental education program in Periodontics. Be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the New York State Education Department. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and exhibit the highest level of ethical conduct and a commitment to diversity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience in clinical instruction of periodontics. Board Certification or in the process of achieving board eligibility in the American Board of Periodontology. Ability or eligibility to provide moderate parenteral intravenous sedation in New York State. Experience in Dental Education. Research accomplishments. Leadership in Organized Periodontics.
