Actalent DSP Engineer in Sterling, Virginia
Description:
We are currently seeking a DSP Engineer to join our team in support of projects focus on Electronic Warfare and cUAV technology platforms. This position is focused on writing C/C++ code and algorithm implementation. This team plays a big part in integrating and helping other components of the system come together making it a great opportunity to learn how the system works holistically. This team is both building additional capabilities on currently deployed systems and working on the prototypes for Versions 3 and 4 next gen systems.
Day to Day:
Sprint/Agile development environment
Design, develop, debug, and test signal processing algorithms
Enhance and maintain existing X-Midas and M2Extra tools for signal analysis
Software development in Python, C++, and other OOP languages on a Linux OS

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering
• 2+ years of experience with C++ and Python
• Experience developing software defined radios
• Experience/knowledge of software channeling, filtering, modulation/demodulation, spectrum analysis, telemetry systems, error correcting, digital video formats, and/or image processing
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP) with understanding of satellite or communication systems design
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS//SCI Clearance
Highly Desired:
• Experience with GNU Radio or X-Midas
• Experience with CUDA and GPU HW acceleration for DSP applications
• Active TS//SCI Clearance (US Citizenship Required)
