The position

By joining our Data Analytics & Planning team you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive governance, structure and coordinate within SAP and Finance & Control (F&C) analytics to increase quality, efficiency and reduce time spent on ad hoc and low-quality analytics. Drive and improve performance through data visualization and analytics.

  • Develop advanced planning and analytic solutions to connect live to core data, enabling the business to provide the ability to analyse, discuss and decide.

  • Develop and enable common data foundation that connects financial, operational, and external data.

  • Guide the Equinor group and support the business with analytics based on finance, operation, and external data, leveraging analytics tools and capabilities.

  • Know, understand, and leverage our analytical platform and toolbox with high focus on consistent and compliant performance reporting.

  • Provide professional fit-for-purpose analytical solution and visualizations that are based on the Equinor Financial Model, are focussed on the business needs and based on trusted, quality analytical data models.

  • Challenge established work processes, contribute to fit for the future financial processes and deliveries.

  • Contribute to identifying competence gaps in sector/network where relevant, including required competence, and lead small to medium development projects.

Functional Center of Excellence (FCOE) FC Financial Architecture and Solutions (FAS) Data Analytics and Planning is a delivery unit and central Equinor team of specialists providing advisory and support within financial analytics solutions, financial models, and financial master data.

Our system portfolio is changing and will be affected by The NextGen ERP project (migration to S/4 HANA). It currently consists of SAP Business warehouse, including related planning and analytical capabilities, STEA (Software for Economic Analysis), SAP Analytics Cloud and legacy SAP front-end tools (WAD, Lumira, AfO) and Management Information System (Custom SAP UI5 developed application on SAP BW) as the main systems. Development of this portfolio in alignment with our digital strategy is FAS DAP`s responsibility.

You

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in a Computer / IT related field, or another relevant subject. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.

  • 5+ years’ experience of working in an IT specialism role with similar tasks, ideally within Finance, Control or Business Analytics.

  • Experience with one or more of the following tasks:

  • Developing analytic solutions.

  • Data analytics, development and digitalisation.

  • Bridging the gap between IT or Business Analytics, and a Finance & Control environment.

  • Providing technical support and advice to end users, and the wider business.

  • Experience in stakeholder management, as well as strong communication and influencing skills.

  • A passion for digital technologies and analytics tools.

  • Understanding of and ability to visualize process - and transactional flow.

  • Knowledge of the SAP application platform as well as general knowledge of Finance & Control reporting tools.

  • Experience of working for an exploration & production company, IT consultancy, or a similar type of business is advantageous.
