INTERSTATE SUPPLIES & SERVICES INC Helper Installation Maintenance and Repair Worker in Stallings, North Carolina

General Requirements

  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Must have good eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal hearing.
  • Minimum age - 21 years old - which normally show increased common sense and responsibility which deliver a higher safety level during duties and operations.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Target Responsibilities:

  • Replace wear parts.
  • Maintain, clean and do oil and filter changes on small engines, lawn equipment and other related equipment
  • Maintaining shop area cleanliness and collecting and disposing of trash.
  • Assist shop supervisors and the quality inspection team as needed
  • Load and unload delivery trucks.
  • Operate equipment such as band saw, cut off saw, belt sander, drill press, disc grinder and air tools.
  • Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly as directed.
  • Treat management and other employees with respect and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
  • Follow instructions and promptly respond to management direction.
  • Work with integrity, always upholding company values.
  • Perform related responsibilities/accountabilities as required or directed.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties within the shortest time possible.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
  • Assist in keeping the entire shop clean and orderly.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with employees.

Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, clean, and maintain all equipment used.
  • Report to the shop supervisor any hazards or faulty equipment.
  • Meet with supervisor weekly to discuss priority projects/duties.

Monthly and Quarterly Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with supervisor to discuss and review individual performance.
