Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer of synthetic fiber ropes for the heavy lift industries as a Maintenance Technician. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and testing equipment, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Must Have

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Experience with routine PM's

  • Skills in light welding - MIG & Flux Core

  • Proficiency in hydraulic and electrical systems

  • Ability to work autonomously with strong initiative

  • Mechanical aptitude and capability with hand and power tools

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and blueprint reading

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and testing equipment for synthetic ropes.

  • Replace and maintain components such as bearings, hinges, doors, winches, conveyors, belts, air compressors, extrusion machines, and motors on overhead cranes.

  • Conduct routine PM's on hydraulic pumps, including hydraulic filter changes and changing hydraulic hoses.

  • Perform light MIG/Flux Core welding and use an oxy acetylene torch for fabricating guarding.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, including electrical boxes.

  • Utilize a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record and follow a routine PM schedule and document repairs.

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized manufacturing facility with an AC environment that is clean and organized. The facility has distinct sections for winding, testing, and bundling synthetic ropes. Join a team of approximately 30 people on the production floor, with only one maintenance technician. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses. This is a day shift position running Monday to Friday, with hours from 6:00am to 3:30pm or 7:00am to 4:30pm, typically totaling 40 hours per week, with variations depending on maintenance emergencies and call-outs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stafford, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
