BMA Group IT Support Operator in St Thomas, Virgin Islands
We are seeking a Customer Service Operator to monitor and respond to service-related issues affecting both internal and external customers. The role involves overseeing IP network connectivity, MAN switches, routers, CMTS, fiber, business customer rings, and server performance to ensure minimal service disruption. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and troubleshoot network and system performance using diagnostic tools. - Support networking equipment and ensure ISP connectivity. - Respond to outages, conduct remote system checks, and escalate issues as needed. - Work with TCP/IP, Ethernet, VoIP, MPLS, and various network protocols. - Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation for troubleshooting. - Collaborate with network teams to ensure efficient restoration of services. - Comply with security policies and data privacy regulations. Qualifications and Requirements: - Associates Degree in Computer Science, Math, or Science. - 2-3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or related industry. - Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, Linux, and networking technologies. - Experience with Cisco equipment, DS-0 to OC-192, GigE, VoIP, and HFC networks. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred. - Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
