Under the supervision of the Director or Manager, Clinical and Financial Systems, maintains system requirements and functional design specifications to meet user needs and to ensure design and integration standards. Participates on implementation projects and upgrades including requirements definition, design, development, and support per the system life cycle methodologies and system development standards. Demonstrates fundamental functional and technical expertise in assigned applications. Demonstrates fundamental knowledge of assigned applications' design requirements, build tools, process flow, data flow, and database, including existing practices, procedures and policies. Works with end users to assist with development of procedures and user training programs on use of assigned applications. Provides support to end users. Participates with Information Technology (IT) management in planning, organizing, and analyzing new and current systems applications and associated processes.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. In Lieu of a Bachelor's degree, candidates with an Associate Degree and extensive system building and/or process applications experience will be considered. Three years of Health care experience is desirable. Knowledge of systems analysis methodologies, workflow process analysis, and software application systems implementation is required. Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of systems design and installation tasks. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with management and fellow employees. Mobility throughout the hospital campus. No heavy lifting. Works primarily with a personal computer which involves substantial repetitive motions. Ability to use the telephone is required. If assigned responsibilities are primarily Clinical Systems oriented, RN licensure is preferred.
