HealthPartners Security Operations Specialist in St. Paul, Minnesota

HealthPartners is hiring a Security Operations Specialist. This position provides operational support to the Manager, Security Operations to ensure the security of employees, members, patients, and visitors. The Specialist supports the security operations of the Ambulatory Clinics, Administrative Sites, and Community Hospitals at HealthPartners. The Specialist's key purpose is to conduct and support: security projects security investigations threat assessment and management security education and content security presence, and stand-by to stakeholders conducts risk assessments security policy, process, and standards development security contract management emergency management The Specialist is responsible for security access systems for administrative sites, clinics, community hospitals and other properties within the HealthPartners system. This includes, but is not limited to access badges, security access levels, and security door schedules as needed. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Designs and implements policies and strategies of organizational security, including but not limited to, internal investigations, executive protection, workplace violence prevention, threat assessment and management, security risk assessments, technological protection systems and employee safety. Reviews instances of deficiency and/or non-compliance and works effectively and tactfully to correct. Acts as an advocate for security on internal and external committees and workgroups as necessary. Coordinates an ongoing review of existing security programs/systems and initiate the development of new programs, as needed at the Ambulatory Clinics, Administrative Sites, and Community Hospitals (AAC) at HealthPartners. Provides security consulting support and makes recommendations to site leadership regarding appropriate, timely and necessary security improvements and enhancements. Provides leadership and guidance to contracted guard force and/or security officer staff. Maintains close communication with the AAC stakeholders at each location and responds to requests for support. Provides security assistance as needed at all HealthPartners properties. Conducts threat assessment and threat management; develops security plans. Conducts all levels of security investigation. Teaches security training and education to stakeholders. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Associates or Bachelors degree OR equivalent security experience of 3 to 5 years Strong commitment to customer service, and the needs of our HealthPartners employees, members, patients, and visitors. Must possess strong coordination, organization and liaison skills to help consult in the design and implementation of security program strategies and the ability to seek and gain consensus on creative solutions to complex security issues. Strong problem-solving skills. Individual must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor and taking quick action to resolve issues. Demonstrated clear and effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to promote the open flow of information by actively soliciting and listening to the ideas of others. Proven ability and commitment to being discreet, tactful, and timely when addressing internal and external customer needs. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to work with all levels of HealthPartners leadership, vendors/contractors, member, patients and customers. Ability to evaluate and analyze processes, and to make recommendations to the Director. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office. Ability to drive to any AAC site within 4 hours. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years health care security related experience Experience with security technology systems. Experience in security investigations. Experience in security threat assessment and management. Experience in conducting security risk assessments. This position will follow the strategic and operational direction of the Director and Vice President, Security.
