The Deputy Director is a key member of the MNP20 leadership team. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Deputy Director supports the planning, direction, coordination, and day-to-day operations of MNP20. The Deputy Director will collaborate closely with the Executive Director to support the partnership’s strategic, tactical, and logistical efforts. The Deputy Director will actively lead and support the development and management of key projects and initiatives within their assigned portfolio and that contribute to the long-term strategic goals of the partnership.
This position is responsible for partnering with the Executive Director (ED) to identify key opportunities to move the work of the partnership forward. Since the 2023 creation of the partnership’s first Executive Director position, the ED has worked with the partnership’s Executive Committee to launch MNP20 forward in new and expanding ways. The Deputy Director will become the second staff member of the partnership, providing input, guidance, and recommendations that help inform the partnership’s priorities in strengthening early education, K-12, higher education, and workforce development systems for all Minnesotans, especially for historically excluded populations.
This is a two-year, grant-funded position.

Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of related experience as a program manager, director, administrator, or comparable role.
Three (3) years of project management experience.
Experience coordinating and/or supporting inter-organizational, diverse teams and organizations, with demonstrated success.
Experience working with or in intermediary organization and/or experience in state government
Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings, forums, trainings, or other similar types of engagements.
Organizational planning expertise; experience with developing, managing, and assessing major projects or initiatives..
Capable of multi-tasking while maintaining standards of integrity and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success fostering an inclusive workplace environment.
Advanced degree or credential(s) in a related field
Six (6) years of related experience as a program manager, director, administrator, or comparable role
Classroom instructional (or related) experience in early childhood, K-12, higher education, and/or workforce development
Expertise in educational pedagogy, curriculum, student development, or related area
Demonstrated experience in leadership, management, team building and supporting the creation of positive organizational cultures in a collaborative, problem-solving, high-visibility environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to position self and move sufficiently to perform repetitive task
Maintain a stationary position for long periods of time
Ability to carry up to 20 pounds of weight on an infrequent basis
