We are seeking experienced Industrial Superintendents for our Industrial market, specific to the Ag/Industrial and Power & Infrastructure sectors. INDUSTRIAL SUPERINTENDENT The Industrial Superintendent is responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of an assigned project. This includes the pre-planning for all project stages (from pre- to post-construction). The Industrial Superintendent works diligently to meet all goals set for the specific project and manages all field operational duties. Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or GED required. 5-8 years of construction-related experience Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills Positive attitude, strong work ethic, innovative and forward-thinking Computer literate Demonstrated experience initiating and driving continuous improvement. Current OSHA 30 certification History of working successfully alone or in a team dynamic Preferred: Two or four-year degree in construction-related field. 5-8 years of field-related experience Office and Travel: Must be willing to travel regularly and accept out-of-town assignments ranging from weeks to months or years at a time. Superintendent Job Responsibilities: Manage all Pre-construction-related tasks, including building crisis management plan, site logistics plan, site-specific rules and regulations, and safety plan. Manage and oversee all McGough field staff, subcontractors and suppliers engaged in assigned projects. This includes conducting daily huddles, job site coordination and delivery of materials. Manage and implement the project schedule as designed and adjust as necessary. Work closely with the Project Management team to ensure the schedule remains updated. Work with the Project Management team as needed throughout the project, including selecting subcontractors, writing RFIs (requests for information), and developing and tracking procurement of materials, tools, and equipment. Work with Quality Control team to ensure project-specific requirements are met. Ensure all on-site documentation, including drawings, logs, and inspection books are updated and current. Ensure alignment of the budget set for the project, including labor, materials, and equipment. Work with the Project Management team to address issues as they arise. Work closely with the Project Management team to ensure all project closeout tasks are completed. This includes punch list execution, commissioning, final inspections, owner training, etc. Provide intentional leadership for the project team in the areas of onsite Lean methodologies, standard work, and Pull-Plan sessions. Drive a safe environment by leading activities, including job safety meetings and orientations. Ensure all OSHA and other required rules and regulations are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design team, and subcontractors. Support and follow standard work. Participate and support the implementation of a Lean and continuous improvement culture. Foster strong partnerships with fellow McGough employees Industrial Expertise Responsibilities: Supervise Industrial installation activities related to pipe/duct/tank field installation, pressure vessels, towers and tanks, heat exchangers, and rotating and material handling equipment to ensure that work is done in accordance with Contract requirements, specific Manufacturer's instructions, and Project procedures. Develops and/or reviews scopes of work and scheduling documents for projects in accordance with requirements and specifications. Oversee on-site execution of large-sc le Industrial projects or shutdowns. Tracks and monitors projects using available tools and resources including creating and maintaining baseline schedules, manhour forecasts, completion trackers, and performing critical path analyses to identify stop gaps and project challenges. Quantity verification and tracking or reporting. Perform quality and completion inspections of work completed. Assist in change order reviews and scope validation.
