This position will provide technical assistance in the inspection and verification of the records of financial institutions in order to discover and/or prevent violations of Minnesota statutes and regulations; to determine if the institution is operating according to accepted industry practices; and acting properly in their roles as depositories of money and as channels of economic activity/
Field position requiring extensive overnight or local travel.
Minimum Qualifications
2 (two) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in audit, risk, or compliance within the financial services industry.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field within 3 months of receiving job offer is equivalent to one (1) year of experience. Coursework must include at least 6 semester credits in Accounting and/or Finance with a grade "C" or better (proof of coursework will be requested).
Applicants who meet the above education/experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:
Must live within the Twin Cities Metro Area
Valid Class D Driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in risk management, financial analysis of business operations, or internal audit within a financial institution.
Experience with federal and state banking regulations.
Experience as a credit analyst, commercial loan underwriter, or risk analyst, particularly involving creditworthiness evaluation.
Experience presenting credit risk assessments to senior management or regulatory agencies.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
Additional Requirements
