Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$123,000.00 - $203,000.00

What Is the Opportunity?

This position provides strategic leadership direction, broad oversight, and implementation of all aspects for the Actuarial Leadership Development Program. The goal of the program is to attract and develop individuals who are highly skilled and who have the potential to become future leaders of the organization. The Director works with the Program Operating Committee and may work in partnership with senior leaders across the Actuarial & Analytics Community to set the direction and execute the strategy to ensure that this goal is achieved. This role will lead a team of Program Participants in addition to a direct report.

What Will You Do?

  • Develops the recruitment and intern program strategies, including selection, placement, performance management, compensation planning, and development of program participants and interns.

  • Works with business leadership to develop meaningful rotational assignments and placement of individuals to facilitate exposure to various business areas within the company and to provide meaningful development opportunities and growth.

  • Identifies and implements process improvement initiatives/opportunities.

  • Develops and executes the program's planning effort to identify and build a diverse pool of leadership talent, counseling management on the development process and execution of development plans to build skill, competency and organizational capability.

  • Responsible for the coaching and development of program participants through their program experience, including all HR management components such as talent calibration, performance management and compensation.

  • Works collaboratively with peers across Emerging Talent Programs on the creation and implementation of best practices and initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 6 years of experience with developmental programs.

  • People leadership experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

  • Detailed oriented.

  • Proven high degree of accuracy.

  • Well organized.

What is a Must Have?

  • 6 years of professional experience working in Leadership Development or related business experience.
