Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct Support professionals (DSP's) work with individuals with disabilities to help them gain skills and more independence in areas such as: Communication Cooking and housekeeping Budgeting Personal safety Health and recreation *Also required to monitor and document changes in clients' physical and mental health.
