This position is based in our St. Paul office, but there may be options for hybrid work. Job Summary: As an Applications Specialist, you will maintain and support all aspects of assigned business applications. This includes the implementation of new systems, leading system upgrades, issue troubleshooting, executing consistent testing practices, writing process documentation, and expanding use of applications to new programs. You will collaborate with application analysts, network admins, and system admins to maintain application stability, perform security updates, and create application integrations. You will participate on project teams to implement system enhancements, provide user training to business users, and communicate changes that impact use of the applications. Some degree of creativity and latitude is expected. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 2-year degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in related field. General programming experience, including exposure to SQL query writing, is preferred. Familiarity with SharePoint Online, Dynamics, and Microsoft 365. Professional interpersonal abilities with excellent written and verbal communication. Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proven teamwork and collaboration experience. Ability to construct and perform tasks to deadlines. Knowledge of software management methods, technologies, and best practices. Familiarity with compliance standards and security protocols in application management. Growth mindset for continuous professional development to stay current with technology advancements. Proficiency in project management principles and tools. Experience with consultant and vendor engagement. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
