Annuity Processor Job details Posted 24 May 2024 Location St Paul, MN Job type Permanent Reference 922575 Job description Position Details: Job Title: Annuity Processor Location: St Paul, MN 55101 (Hybrid: 1day/week) Duration: 7 months contract with possibility of extension. Job Description: This position deals with incoming business for annuities. The worker will be expected to make outbound calls to verify status of pending funds from financial institutions, process annuity applications, and answer inbound calls from financial professionals. Conducts the contract approval/contract issue process for all annuity applications and incoming direct rollovers, 1035 exchanges and direct transfers, and immediate annuities including review of application to determine if plan, contract, and legal requirements are met. Verifies appropriate signatures and forms are completed according to state requirements. This position will be hybrid remote/on-site working in our Downtown St. Paul office. Training will be in-person on-site the first 3 - 4 days. The team currently is expected to work 1-day a week in the office (Wednesdays) following the training period. Having excellent verbal and written communication skills is key. Primary Responsibilities: Complete outbound follow-up calls to verify status of pending funds coming from other financial institutions. Review applications and complete basic data entry, perform licensing checks, and initial contract set-up and contact financial advisors regarding missing or clarification of information provided on annuity applications. Answer inbound phone calls regarding basic status calls from financial advisors and internal sales team via our agent support line. Maintain and manage all pending/follow-up cases on incoming business and communicate status to financial advisors. Work independently to prioritize work items effectively to meet service standards and client needs. Identify, recommend, and implement changes to procedures and checklists to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and quality. Qualifications: Ability to learn all plan, contract details, and provide service that excels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Strong data entry skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of annuity products, processes, and procedures. Physical job requirements: Ability to work at least 40 hours per week. Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse, and computer for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to utilize phone for approximately 2-4 hours per day. Ability to perform simple grasping including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout entire.
