The Financial Management and Reporting (FMR) Division provides administrative services internally with the agency, overseeing strategic and operational planning, performance management, financial management, internal controls, budget planning, human resources, and information technology. The division also provides the same support services to the Small Agency Resource Team (SmART) program, boards, and councils. This position works in the Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, and Cash Receipts unit.
In this position, you will provide accounting and administrative support for FMR, other Admin divisions, and SmART State Agencies. Support services include accounts receivable, billing, cash receipt creation, reconciliations, reporting, collections, and other related tasks. This position serves a critical role in processing these transactions as the need and volume in our division continues to grow.
This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance is required based on a rotating schedule and may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Minimum Qualifications
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position.
Customer service skills sufficient to respond respectfully and effectively to customers in-person, on the phone, and through email and other written correspondence.
Knowledge of communication sufficient to understand and be understood during interactions with others and respond to a variety of written and spoken communications.
Math skills sufficient to calculate, review, process, reconcile, and tabulate data.
Data entry skills sufficient to compile, sort, and verify data before entering data accurately.
Skill in using word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications, such as Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams), to prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, memos, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in State fiscal systems such as SWIFT, SEMA4, SWIFT Data Warehouse, SharePoint, or other comparable systems.
Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy working with numbers.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to interpret and explain accounting and related fiscal policies, procedures, and practices to customers.
